    A BIG THANK YOU

This post is to say a BIG thank you to everyone out there who has ever been involved with the programme, because if you hadn't spotted the potential good it could do and not put your faith in it,  people like me would still be searching for help and getting nowhere. It is also for all the children, parents and the staff at  Dore, because at times it was so hard to keep going and the support and feedback from those people really gave us hope and the strength to carry on.

Take care of yourselves, keep posting, keep on track and ask for help if you think you need it.Big Smile

    Re: A BIG THANK YOU

What a great post motherofb! Harry is going from strength to strength since he finished!! His karate teacher (and wife who watches through the window) notices how Harry's confidence has grown, his private tutor and teachers in school are all seeing a difference now (as are we!) Dore is amazing. For those parents who are hesitating about the cost and time involved - don't! It works, go for it! For those who are struggling to find the time and are experiencing poor effort from the kids ... keep at it! It really is worth is at the end. We are 6 months done now and we are now reaping the rewards.

    Thanks Bugalug,

I know what you mean and we are only just finished! B is forging ahead. In the last 3 months especially we have seen such improvements. So many things seem to have dropped into place and are continuing to happen. I knew when I stumbled across the Dore page that it was the answer but there were several times during the programme that I felt so tired and stressed I could have easily given up. I read posts from you and Ellie and the others and it kept me going. If we could see half the amount of progress then it was worth it, and so it has been. I have no regrets and our relationship has survived it all.Son gave a speech after our celebration meal and said he wanted to thank me and his Dad for being with him every step of the way! We didn't know he had a speech ready or what was in it, we were so touched and so proud of him. I really don't have the same concerns about him that I did pre - Dore.
