    Social Networking

    Hi All.

Firstly let me introduce myself, I'm Donna and I'm part the Dore team here in Stratford upon Avon. Over the next few months I will be in regular contact with many of you via Doretalk and myDore. We are going to be on facebook and twitter and would really, really love everyone to get involved in our social networking. We will be inviting you to chat to others on the programme just like you do on Doretalk. I will be putting regular updates and messages on all our networking sites....We want your ideas, how can we get the whole of the UK talking about the benefits of Dore?

Would you be interested in becoming a Dore Networker? Would you like to help and chat to others through their programme?

If you're going through the programme right now you can meet other people in your area by clicking on the "my support" option on myDore....People are then meeting up with other people in their area, chatting and even getting together for days out during the summer holidays!

Last Week Scott Quinnell was on Talk Sport. He discussed Rugby (of course!) but also spent a good amount of time talking about Dore and his own personal experience of the programme. Listen to him by following the link http://www.dore.co.uk/community/latestnews.aspx?id=58

I think thats all for today.......If you are exercising out there, please please please keep working hard, it WILL be worth it!

     Take care

    Donna P

Hey Donna - what a great idea. I linked up with Twitter (not sure how it works though) and am on Facebook. If I can help out as someone whose son has been through the programme, I'm happy to do so.

    Re: Social Networking

Hi all,  especially those experiencing difficulties staying on the programme,

I have listened to Scott's interview on Talksport and the answers you need are right there. It brought tears to my eyes and reminded me of when B first balanced a bike and rode it, not to mention the other memories that came flooding back.

He talks as a  person with  learning differences. He reflects on his childhood of what it was like for him as a child not being able to read and write. He talks as an adult in living  a world of limitations because of it.   He talks as a parent watching his Son ride his bike on his own for the first time. The emotion, pride and elation in his voice when desribing that scene paints the most vivid picture you can imagine, and reminds you of what Dore can do.

Give yourselves a reminder of why you turned to Dore in the first place, then  get back on track with renewed enthusiasm.

    Good luck XXXXXX
