Dore Talk

We just recently had a DORE representative come to our house to discuss the program for my son. 

After convincing my husband that it was a good idea to start the program, all DORE clinics have been closed Australia-wide!!!  Apparently they have gone into liquidation?!?!?

I could not believe my luck as I was looking forward to starting the program.  Just wanted to express my complete frustration, hopefully this does not happen anywhere else in the world.  Lucky we had not paid yet!

Others may also want to be careful 'till the situation becomes clear.

It would be nice to hear from someone in the know, rather than 'dore bashers' to hear whats going on either way. I really hope its not true...but maybe someone could let us know what the 'official' response is?

We are clients in Australia and I have had an email from Dore Australia confirming this to be true. Also on the home page of Dore Australia is this note 

It is with great regret that on 15th May 2008 that Dore Group (Australasia) Ltd ("Dore") has appointed a Voluntary Administrator. As a result Dore is closing all of the mainland Australian clinics which deliver the Dore Program with immediate effect.

Dore in the UK are determined to find a way for every client who is on the program to have their treatment completed. Dore in the UK are presently exploring alternative arrangements to ensure every client is cared for.

We will be updating this page of our website every few days with news so please check it regularly.

If you are a creditor of Dore please complete the attached Proof of Debit [Dore_Proof_of_debt_and_note.pdf] and return it to PO Box 1105, Pymble NSW 2073.

If you are a current client and need more information regarding your current exercise set or require additional exercises to keep you on track. Please visit and register at the MyDore website.

For your information...I now have clear information from accountants in Sydney who are handling the administration of the Dore Company. Their web site is www.woodgateco.com.au/creditorinfo I read that the first creditors meeting was held on the 23d of May. I read that 80 plus staff have lost their positions in Australia, also had not been paid for a month. My son ...who had his child on the program, rang the Brisbane phone number to make an expected appoinyment - to hear a recorded message that the company had gone into administration. I have just read on the UK site that the same thing has happened there, a notice has just been posted. I see that staff have spoken out in their disapointment on a site 'gimpyblog.wordpress'......I have read a little of that. If you 'google' you may get extra information.......Good Luck.....I'm very sad to hear all this. Jay. Australia.

sorry 2 say this but it has happened in England aswell, and I'm supposed to have an appointment tommorow, so I'm really 'VERY ANNOYED!!!!!!!' aswell!

I havn't been in touch with the forum for a while. If I had I would have known not to bother taking John all the way to Bedford. I guess by now you do know what's going on. I can't get in to 'My Dore' as our password has been sent to an old email address. I'll wait a few days to talk to someone on the phone as there's no hope of getting through right now. I hope your lot are o.k.

You and me both.. I have lost £500. With no recompense, no appointment and NO help, and again NO way to get him assessed privately anywhere else in the UK, as I am now totally out of pocket.  

 It makes you feel SO angry and so cross, so not what you need as the mother of a child with problems!

 

 

I have to say we have now at last had an appointment.  I posted our experiences on another thread.
